Admissions for 2027-28 are open at Skill-ed, Balliwala Chowk, Dehradun, for Playgroup, Nursery, LKG, UKG, Grade 1 and Grade 2, and for day care. Children can join in any month while seats remain, and admission takes four simple steps.
Chhote Haath, Bade Hunar: small hands, big skills. The first step into school is a small one for a child and a big one for a family. We keep it gentle: a tour first, a class that fits your child's age, and a first week with a parent close by.

The Age for Each Class
Age is counted on 31 March 2027 for the 2027-28 session. Classes are kept small, so seats in Playgroup, Nursery and LKG fill first.
How to Enrol Your Child at Skill-ed
Four steps, usually finished within a week of your visit.
Book a free tour
Visit the campus with your child, see a class in session and meet the teachers. Tours run Monday to Saturday and take about thirty minutes.
Choose the class and a start date
We help you pick the right class for your child's age. You can start in any month of the year.
Submit the form and documents
Fill in the admission form online or at the school office and hand in the documents listed on this page.
Settle in gently
The first week is short and gentle, with a parent nearby, until your child is comfortable in the class.
What to bring at admission
- A copy of the child's birth certificate
- Two colour passport photos of the child
- Two colour passport photos of the parents and the local guardian
- Copies of the Aadhaar cards of the child and the parents
- Transfer certificate from the previous school, where it applies
What it costs and when we are open
Fees for 2026-27, the same for every class from Playgroup to Grade 2: registration ₹5,000 and admission ₹25,000, each paid once, and tuition of ₹7,500 a month, paid quarterly. The school van is optional, at ₹3,500 a month within 5 km.
Playgroup, Nursery and LKG run from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and UKG, Grade 1 and Grade 2 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Day care runs until 6 PM. The school is open Monday to Saturday.

When do admissions open at Skill-ed for 2027-28?
Admissions for the 2027-28 session are open now. Skill-ed admits children through the year, so you can choose a start date in any month while seats remain in the class. Most families finish the admission within a week of their tour.
What is the right age for Playgroup, Nursery, LKG and UKG?
Playgroup is for children aged 2 to 3, Nursery for 3 to 4, LKG for 4 to 5 and UKG for 5 to 6. Grade 1 is for ages 6 to 7 and Grade 2 for ages 7 to 8. Age is counted on 31 March of the admission year.

How do I apply for admission at Skill-ed?
There are four steps. Book a free tour and visit with your child, choose the class and a start date, submit the form and documents online or at the office, and then settle in gently over the first week with a parent nearby.

Which documents are needed for admission?
Bring a copy of the child's birth certificate, two colour passport photos of the child, two of the parents and the local guardian, and copies of the Aadhaar cards of the child and the parents. A transfer certificate from the previous school is needed where it applies. Forms and documents can be submitted online or at the school office.
Can my child join in the middle of the year?
Yes. Skill-ed takes admissions in any month while a seat is free in the class. Classes are small, so a new child settles quickly, and the first week is kept gentle, with short days and a parent nearby.
What is the fee structure at Skill-ed?
For every class from Playgroup to Grade 2 in 2026-27, registration is ₹5,000 and admission ₹25,000, each paid once. Tuition is ₹7,500 a month, paid quarterly at the start of each quarter. The school van is optional, at ₹3,500 a month within 5 km. Day care and post school charges depend on the hours a child stays.

What are the school and day care timings?
Playgroup, Nursery and LKG run from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. UKG, Grade 1 and Grade 2 run from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Day care is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The school is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.
